OK, I get the whole hot vampire obsession. He can potentially kill you, but more than likely you'll be bit, change, and live your lives together as Mr. & Mrs. Bloodsucker.

A zombie on the other hand, feeds off of human brains and flesh.  Yes, you can be bit, get away and become a rotting corpse, but does that really seem worth the risk? Hot or not, if he's hungry, he's going to eat your insides.
