My Name is Patric Engelken AKA Buddy Lee! I grew up in a small town just north of Cedar Rapids, Center Point. I have three sisters all older than me; Kristin, Nina, and Krystal.
Growing up, my life has revolved music, baseball and my family. I played the tenor saxophone from fifth grade through my junior year, topping off my senior year playing the drums. Although Band was a blast, I spent most of my time in the choir room. Choir and show choir helped me to understand music and I learned to love it as well! Baseball has always been a big part of my life too. I have been playing baseball from tee ball to one year of college ball. Although school has always been a little challenging for me, I graduated from Center Point-Urbana High School in 2006 and now I am currently a junior in college at Mount Mercy. I am a double major in Business Marketing and Business management.
My success in life would not be possible without the support of my family and friends! So now you know the life of Buddy Lee!!!

Hey there! I started with Z way back in the summer of 2004 as one of the original street teamers. I took a year off from hanging out at Z events and promoting the station, but now I am back. I grew up in Marion and graduated from Wartburg College in communications where I met my husband Matt.
Outside of Z events, I work at our church, Stonebridge and coach high school girls’ soccer. I enjoy running, dancing, baking and hanging out at local coffee shops.
I love radio, especially local radio and all of the staff at Z102.9/1600 ESPN. Hope to see you all out there at our next event!

Hey all, Cori Vallentine here, I’m your lovely host of the overnights on the weekends! Whether you’re super nocturnal or an early bird, you’ll surely hear me speaking to you on the air!
I hail from Cedar Falls, my wonderful hometown where I began my love of music. I play several instruments, love to sing and play my guitar, and I also DJ in my free time. I went to the good ol’ University of Iowa (GO HAWKEYES!) and started becoming curious about radio when I picked up an interest in music business and DJing. You may remember me as Intern Lyric last year, so I joined up with Z officially after my last semester at Iowa in 2008. It’s been history ever since!
I can’t get enough out of working at Z102.9, mostly because of the great people I work with and the great community we’re involved with too! Feel free to email me your requests, questions, or other items anytime you want to: cori@kzia.com. Thanks for listening!!!

Dancin' Eric Hanson here! I’ve been playing the hits since Z hit the airwaves in 1998 (and I can name the first two songs ever played)! After short stops in Peoria and St. Louis, I came back to the station and community I love. I grew up in eastern Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa.
Favorite songs/artists: depends on my mood. That's what's so great about Z - the music is always fresh and new.
Favorite teams/sports: Hawkeye football and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
When not at Z: Either working as a Communications Director in Iowa City, working across the hall at 1600 ESPN, or spending time at home with my wife Shannon and my dog CJ.

Where do I begin? I was one of the original interns here at KZIA and loved it so much I have stayed on for four years. I mean I loved Z102.9 before that. I have Schulte and Swann's autograph from before Johnny Waiver existed...well in fact I got it at the event where Johnny met those two lovable guys. I love doing intern challenges and to this day I will argue that I won the dance off with Waterboy four years ago because he and Johnny fixed the online votes.
OK, so now onto getting to know me. I love celebrity gossip; I mean I feel like I am the next Perez Hilton. Well basically I just visit his website ten times a day and break the news to all my other friends who don't read it so then I feel like I am in the know. Another thing I love is Disney, yep I will admit to it. I saw High School Musical 3 in the theaters the day it came out. I love seeing movies and am obsessed with award shows, which I could do the red carpet better than anyone. Basically here is how my year breaks down, Jan - March Award Season, March is March Madness, April - August is Baseball Season (GO CUBS!), August - December is Football Season ending with the Hawkeyes going to a Bowl Game. I also enjoy watching college wrestling and basketball.
You can find me on facebook, myspace or twitter: @ekolsrud. Look me up...you should all get to know me better!

Once a full-time staffer at Z102.9, I had a beautiful baby boy (Easton) back in January 2008 and decided to take the lazy route and stay at home and take care of the household. Every once in awhile I get tired of crying at Lifetime movies or yelling at the TV after unbelievable reality TV moments (like the Bachelor) and get out of the house to have some fun and grace the Z102.9 airwaves!
Originally from Clinton, IA, I come from a long line of radio personalities including my dad and two brothers. I'm in radio because of my love of music (and free concert tickets) and spending quality time with the wonderful Z102.9 listeners and staff.
If you get bored, look me up on Facebook or MySpace to find out what crazy mommy mishap I've just experienced or what song is stuck in my head at the time (right now it's Lady Gaga "Poker Face.")

Hello. My name is Kim. I work really late ... or really early depending on how you look at it. ... :-) I like to sing, even though i probably shouldn't, and that's secretly why i got a job here at Z, 3 years ago - to rock to the music while using a big microphone and nobody can see or hear me - luckily i have yet to leave the mic on for that!
I love movies, but that may be because I not so secretly want to be in them. I also have a small obsession with dolphins and love sitting in a hammock, while on the beach, taking a nap or reading, and being warm ... I may live in the wrong state, but this is where family and friends are (my friends are actually spread through NY & NJ to FL & KY to MN & KS/MO & CA and WA, and of course IOWA) and it's far easier to play with my baby niece when we live close to each other!!! LOL!
If I weren't in radio I would want to be Kim Possible or a Power Ranger. If you have a question on Disney stuff I may be your girl. I love being active and i so heart mani/pedis. Email me anytime: kim@kzia.com. Thanks for listening and Good-bye.

I am a blonde and I do and say things that sometimes amaze people. For instance, I thought you could only buy the New York Times in New York. I thought that when a road sign says "Uneven Lanes", that meant that one lane was wider than the other, come to figure out it means that one lane is higher than the other. I also thought that when you are in a building, the Statue of Liberty in my case, the TV's that say "You are Here" somehow really know where you were at that moment in time. Then I was let down and told that those TV screens always stay the same. Lastly, if you tell me a joke, you might as well tell it twice or maybe even three times becuase I won't get it. Period.
Besides the fact that I am extremely intelligent when it comes to the real world, my name is Jayme, AKA, Lambeau. I am from Roland, which is a small town in Iowa. I have two sisters, Nicole who is 27, and Samantha who is 13. I also have a set of pretty cool parents, Jeff and Angela. I graduated from Roland-Story High School in 2007 and now attend the University of Iowa. In my free time you can find my eyes glued to Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, or Ugly Betty. I also enjoy many other TV shows, but these are my top 3. If I'm not watching T.V. you could also find me at the mall, laying out, working, or cheering on the Green Bay Packers or the Hawekeyes. A couple more things you may find interesting about me are that I hate broccoli, mushrooms, and snakes. I love music, singing, and football.
I hope this information helped you to get to know me a little bit. I am pretty goofy, but it's all in good fun! Keep listening to Z102.9 and keep it real!

Hi! “Life Long Eastern Iowan,” “Life Long DJ” Michelle Steele here. I've been in radio since my college days at the U of I and can't imagine a more entertaining or fulfilling career choice! I "retired" my full time radio days to stay at home with my ever growing tribe of "Steelettes"! Until I can figure out how to get my own program on TLC to showcase MY huge family, I will continue to toss my "Super Mom" cape aside on the weekends and come out to play on Z!
Who needs Calgon when you've got a microphone, a hot pair of headphones and an endless supply of Today's Hit Music?

Though I grew up in rural South Dakota, I made my way to Eastern Iowa right after high school. I graduated from the University of Iowa and spent a few years doing mortgages. You've heard me on the radio in one form or another for the better part of two decades.
Once I gave birth to my boys Owen and Finnegan, I completely lost any influence over them. They're 6 and 7 and both are ALL boy. They give the best love, though sometimes it hurts.
I'm keen on fuel efficiency. On the other hand, I'd rather fly than drive.

Hey everybody! What’s going on? My name is Schizzler, but you can call me Schiz. If you ask me how I got the name I’ll tell you honestly that I don’t remember. My sister gave it to me a long time ago and for some strange reason it stuck.
Anyway, if you’re looking at this you probably want to learn something about me, so let’s get to it. I’m Cedar Rapids born and raised. I graduated from Jefferson High School in 2003 and then went on to Iowa State where I received my degree in 2008. As part of my schooling, I had to complete an internship and I thought what better place to do it than Z102.9! After a yearlong internship I was asked to become a street teamer/on-air personality and the rest is history!
I can genuinely say that I love everything about my job, but the two things I love most are getting to play music that makes people feel good and also getting to meet all of our amazing listeners. So if you see me out and about make sure you say hi!
