The Cedar Rapids Kernels host the annual ‘Meet the Kernels’ night on Tuesday, April 1st starting at 5:00 pm. The event is FREE to the public, with food and beverage available for purchase. The Tiffin Volunteer Fire Department and Fire Responders will be holding a pancake breakfast on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 6 a.m. to noon. The Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation and the Buchanan County Conservation Board are seeking volunteers to help restore INHF’s Quigley-Slattery Heritage Prairie, a remnant prairie near Winthrop.
