Some of you may know me as the former Summer 2012 intern with the ridiculously long Hawaiian name, Humuhumunukunukuapua'a. Although many people think I am of Hawaiian descent, I am only Hawaiian at heart. I am actually half-Korean and was born and raised right here in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I lived in Hawaii for a year and go back often to visit my mother who currently lives there.
I completed all my schooling (Pierce Elementary, Harding Middle School & Kennedy High School) in Cedar Rapids. I also went to college here at Mount Mercy University, where I graduated with a double-major in communications and public relations, and a minor in Spanish. I love traveling to new places, figure-skating, golfing (I'm okay if you don't count my wiffs and biffs,) being in the sun, competing in pageants and supporting my two teams that need all the support they can get: the Chicago Cubs and DA BEARS. After growing up listening to Z102.9, and getting hired on part-time after interning with the station for school, I discovered my love for broadcasting. In fact, I loved it so much, I decided to change my lifestyle to become the new full-time overnight DJ. I graduated on a Sunday afternoon from college and went right into work at midnight that same night. After being the overnight DJ for 15 months and working the graveyard shift, I have retired from my vampire lifestyle to become the new afternoon personality from 3-7 p.m. on weekdays!
I am honored to be apart of the fun, yet hardworking, crew here at Z102.9. If you ever see me at an event, don't be afraid to say "hello"! I love meeting new people! Thanks for visiting my page!
