Events on your calendar may have been canceled, but summer isn’t!

Z102.9 has teamed up with our friends at Lost Island Waterpark, giving you tips all summer long to beat this Bummer Summer!

Enjoy some upcoming events/activities like:

  o   Happy Hour with Maestro Tim – Grab a drink and join Orchestra Iowa on Facebook LIVE for virtual Happy Hour with Maestro Tim! This weekly event features the Maestro himself, sharing stories, cracking jokes, and answering all your questions. Every Tuesday at 5 PM!

  o  Kernels Sports Trivia Night – Are you 21 or older? Get your co-workers together, or form a team of 4 with your friends for Sports Trivia Night at the ballpark! Thursday, July 30th | 6-8 PM. Play in a safe environment on the concourse. Each team of four costs $100 ($25 / person) and includes admission, drinks, and food for the entire squad. Deadline to reserve your team is Tuesday, July 28th.

  o   2020 Camp Wapsie Day Camp and Ranger Outdoor Skills – These programs give children safer options to get out and grow through camp activities. Spots are still available in some of these sessions! Register at crmetroymca.org.

  o   Wapsie StayCation Family Cabin Rentals – Refresh your spirit, mind, and body while experiencing some of the unique opportunities YMCA Camp Wapsie has to offer! Families can rent a cabin for up to 10 people with a private bathroom, food, and socially distanced access to some of camp’s amenities including canoeing, swimming and archery led by Wapsie staff and a variety of Wapsie activities families can enjoy on their own.   o   Virtual 18th Annual Fish-O-Rama – This years event will take place Saturday, August 1st. Participants can choose from three registration levels, then fish from their favorite spot and continue to support the Boys and Girls Club virtually!   o   Rollin’ Recmobile – The City of Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation is bringing summer fun to your neighborhood wit the Rollin’ Recmobile! A van loaded to the top with recreation equipment and games that will be hitting 14 different parks 6 days a week. Click here to see the schedule!

  o   Fire Hydrant Water Play – The Cedar Rapids Fire Department will turn on fire hydrants for water play at Rollin’ Recmobile stops at Cherry Hill, Delaney and Bever Parks.  Click here to see the schedule!

  o   Cedar Rapids Public Library Summer Dare – Designed for learners of all ages, with activities designed to encourage lifelong learning, interaction and experiences in the library and beyond!
