$5 for non-members\, free to History Center members

Everyone likes to see what’s hidden in the closet!

Join History Center staff on an exploratory tour of our collections  storage and archives. Like most museums\, only a small portion (less than  one percent) of the collection is on public view at any given time.  Learn about the ways staff tracks the tens of thousands of items in  storage. Catch a glimpse of artifacts that are currently not on display.  This is your chance to see the treasures that are catalogued and  preserved for the benefit of present and future generations. (And yes\,  we DO have a skeleton in our closet!)

   The Carl & Mary Koehler History Center is open Tuesday through  Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  It is located at 615 First Ave SE  in Cedar Rapids.
