DESCRIPTION:The American Bison was once one of the most numerous animals in North  America.  This main stay for Native Americans roamed the prairies from  southern Canada to northern Mexico.   The bison provided food\, tools\,  toys\, clothing and shelter for many Plains tribes.  Enjoy an evening of  exploring the various ways the Native American used this animal and what  it meant for their survival.  Participants will handle actual items  made by a present day re-creator of Native American objects.
