DESCRIPTION:Hear local music legends Dave Zollo and Craig Erickson\, bid on cool bike  memorabilia and gear\, make an art bike and pose for a 2014 area  bicyclists’ calendar 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday\, February 24. “Pedaling Power  to the People!” is a benefit fundraiser for NewBo Bikes\, Cedar Rapids’  first and only non-profit bike co-operative.
NewBo Bikes salvages and recycles bikes and parts\, and offers many  quality used bikes and parts for sale. All proceeds from the fundraiser  and ongoing co-op activities go to promote health\, safety\, education and  environmental awareness within our community.
The benefit is at NewBo City Market\, at the corner of 12th Avenue and  3rd street SE in the Heart of New Bohemia\, 1100 3rd Street SE | Cedar  Rapids. Enjoy music\, a silent auction\, and art bikes. Bring your bike  and have it turned into an art bike. Learn about co-op sponsorship  levels and how you can get involved.
Wear your bike gear or a costume\, bring your bike(s) and pose for a  photo for the 2014 NewBo Bikes calendar! Bike babes\, hub studs and spoke  folks wanted! Bring your family and friends! Be a pin-up!
Don’t forget to go across the street and see the bike co-op storefront  at 1029 3rd St. SE. The storefront will have an open house during the  fundraiser.
