The City of Cedar Rapids is celebating America Recycles Day by hosting a Recycling Fair, from 2-5:00 p.m., at the Downtown Cedar Rapids Library! The fair will feature fun games for the family and information about recycling in Cedar Rapids and Linn County. The first 50 families will receive a free water bottle from Recycle More Linn County!

The City of Cedar Rapids is partnering with local businesses and organizations to build a castle of cartons to draw attention to the city's newest recyclable item: cartons. The organizations are collecting non-perishable food items packaged in cartons like rice milk, juice, broth and soup. The cartons will then be used to build a castle in the lobby of the Downtown Cedar Rapids Library on Nov. 15th.
