22ND ANNUAL "HEARTI GRAS" HEART BALL!

The American Heart Association is bringing together sponsors including Z102.9, donors, volunteers and those affected by heart disease to celebrate their efforts to build healthier lives at the 22nd Annual Cedar Rapids Heart Ball, presented by the Crystal Group.  Guests at the mardi gras-themed event will enjoy a cocktail reception, elegant meal, silent and live auctions.  Complimentary numerology and tarot card readings and Reiki healings will be provided by Illuminations Healing Arts Center. Guests are encouraged to attend in masquerade attire.

Scott Sanborn of KGAN will serve as emcee of the event and will share his inspirational story of surviving heart disease.

The American Heart Association is working to raise $120,000 through the 2014 Heart Ball to support research, education and advocacy efforts aimed at improving Iowan’s heart health.  The American Heart Association currently funds more than $4 million in Iowa-based research projects and educational programming to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
