The Tipton Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating the annual Old Fashioned Christmas
and Tour of Lights on December 8 from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM in downtown Tipton. Enjoy the charm of the popular horse-
drawn carriage rides, a free Christmas concert at the Hardacre Theater and a community soup supper. Take a stroll in
the downtown area where the businesses will be aglow with the spirit of the season and hot cocoa, popcorn and live
old fashioned Victorian windows will be showcased. Do some holiday shopping at the Christmas vendor and craft
shows or pick up some holiday goodies at the Old Cedar County Jail Bake Sale. Santa will arrive at 5:00 by local fire
truck and you can visit him from 5:00PM-7:00 PM at the Tipton Fire Station. Also, the drawings for the Tipton Chamber
of Commerce “Cash for Christmas!” promotion will be held at the Hardacre Theater from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. Shoppers
that made a $5 minimum purchase at participating chamber businesses between November 23 and December 7
registered to win a share of $600 in Chamber Bucks. The Tipton Chamber of Commerce and the downtown businesses
will truly take you back in time at the Old Fashioned Christmas & Tour of Lights. Bring coats, mittens and kids and kick
off the holiday season with family and friends in Tipton.

OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS EVENTS INCLUDE:

Horse-drawn Tour of Lights
5-8 PM Tours will be Boarding at the Hardacre Theater and St. Mary’s Hall
Hardacre Theater Christmas Concert
5-8 PM Free Christmas Concert at the historic Hardacre Theatre featuring representatives from the Tipton High School
caroling choir with Julie Thomas , Jamie Meyer, Bridget Owen, Sue O'Donnell, Jayne Erickson, Jane Osborn, Greg Brown,
Greg Helton, Methodist Church Chime Choir, Christian Chaos, The Stoplight Sisters, violinist Moira Depasquale, a
community band and more!
Community Soup Supper
4-8 PM at St. Mary’s Hall. Choice of Chili, Chicken Noodle and Potato soup, sandwich and beverage included. Adults $7,
Kids 5-12 $6 and children under five are free. Also, the Tipton Lions Club will be conducting FREE Iowa KidSight screening
at the Community Soup Supper. This noninvasive screening is typically for children aged 6-48months and the screening
results are interpreted by eye care professionals at the University of Iowa hospitals.

Enjoy popcorn (sponsored by Citizens Bank) and hot cocoa at the Hardacre Theater (sponsored by Liberty Bank)

Santa arrives in downtown Tipton by a local fire truck at 5 PM and you can visit with him at the fire station from 5-7
PM. Drop your letters to Santa at his special mailbox at Citizens Bank through Christmas Eve!

Christmas Vendor Show
4-8 PM Stop by US Bank for some Christmas shopping and appetizers, vendors include Scentsy, Thirty One Gifts,
Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef and more!
Christmas Craft Show
10 AM -8 PM There will be various local vendors hosting a craft show at 313 Cedar Street. Holiday shoppers will be able
to find handmade toys, jewelry, blankets and more!
