The Iowa Percussion and PanAmerican Steel Band will welcome winter with their Holiday Percussion Pops concert at the Englert Theatre on Sunday, December 9 at 3:00 pm. This year's concert will benefit The Crisis Center Food Bank. For admission simply bring an item or two from The Crisis Center's Top Ten List of most needed items to donate such as 100% fruit juice, canned vegetables, baby formula, baby diapers (all sizes) or laundry detergent. Financial Donations are at the top of the list. For every $1 donated, approximately 4 pounds of food can be purchased.
Seasonal favorites old and new, presented in Iowa Percussion's inimitable style, will give audiences of all ages a holiday glow. Even the biggest Grinch will smile at tunes such as the group's Caribbean tinged Snowlypso Medley, The Things We Want for Christmas Medley, and Soca Santa, some fun holiday music from Trinidad and Tobago.
Holiday Percussion Pops promises to be a fast paced concert full of surprises, great music, and family fun that is sure to warm your heart and keep it pumping to the island beat.
