On Saturday, December 21, 2013, the HD Youth Center will be serving a FREE traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. This annual event will be held at Metro High School 1212 7th Street from 11 am until 2 pm. All families in need are invited and encouraged to attend.
After dinner there will be an opportunity to select gifts for your family from a variety of donated items and there will even be volunteers that can help wrap those gifts for you. All guests need to eat dinner and receive a ticket before going shopping at the gift exchange.
In addition to the dinner and gift exchange, there will be door prizes including a chance to win a ham or turkey. Adults must have a valid ID to enter the drawing for a door prize.
Donations of time, talent, and treasures are always welcomed and appreciated. If you’d like to volunteer or donate to the gift exchange or dinner, please contact Henry Davison at 319.329.8841 or Tammy Mims at 319.981.4684. You may also contact Henry Davison via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
About HD Youth Center.
HD Youth Center is a 501(c)3 Not for Profit Organization founded in 1997 by Henry Davison in response to a need he saw for working parents to have a safe place for their children to go after school and get support to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. For more than a decade, the HD Youth Center has provided meals and after school programming free of charge to the Cedar Rapids Community. The goal of the HD Youth Center remains to be to provide a safe, drug-free and supervised learning environment for children and improve their lives through education, socialization, food, and other positive influences.
