where she grew up participating in FFA, speech and drama. Her All State Speech Contest flag still hangs in the school rafters. She attended Mount Mercy University, back in olden times when it was just a college, and Cedar Rapids hasn’t been able to shake her since. She’s not Czech, but knows her way around a kolache—baking and eating them for the St. Ludmila Kolach Festival every year!

He’ll always root for his beloved Washington Demons, but Iowa holds a special place in his heart. Eric loves his Hawkeyes and loves that he met his uber hip wife of 20+ years, Shannon, in the Hawkeye Marching Band. Enjoys life’s experiences, travel and theater.
