Eric, Clare and Destiny let their dads pick the next movie they should watch since Fathers Day was this past weekend. What movies did their dads choose?

Eric watched ‘Caddyshack’: A comedy classic which features some vignettes about a couple of caddies at a ritzy country club. It’s hilarious from start to finish and features comedy greats like Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, and Ted Knight! It’s also one of those movies Eric remembers his parents watching on VHS and he’s try to sneak downstairs and watch it too. Good times.

Clare watched ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’: Steve Martin and John Candy are 2 guys trying to get home for Thanksgiving, but anything and everything that could go wrong goes wrong. This movie has such great pacing and chemistry between the two actors. Clare was glad her dad recommended it. It’s been on movie bucket list for a while!

Destiny watched ‘Dog Day Afternoon’: Based on a true story, a couple of criminals plan to rob a bank, but their simple plan turns into a circus sideshow that ends in a stand off with the FBI. Destiny did not realize that this movie stars very famous actor, Al Pacino. Turns out he’s quite good at acting. Who knew?

The Morning Scramble Movie Club is always on the hunt for the best movie that’s currently streaming for no additional charge. Listener Shannon recommended two great movies for the club to consider: “Unknown” starring Liam Neeson as a man who wakes up from a coma and discovers his identity has been stolen.  Or “The Next Three Days” starring Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks as a married couple; the wife is accused of murder and her husband must prove her innocence. Eric and Destiny were dead set on watching “Unknown” because they were in the mood for a Liam Neeson laying out his “certain set of skills” as he typically does in all his movie. But Clare convinced them to watch “The Next Three Days” because the plot sounds better. And while it is starring Russell Crowe, Liam Neeson does make an appearance in the film! Sold. Everyone is on board to watch “The Next Three Days.”
