First up: Tajin and Orange Creamsicles. It’s an okay flavor combination. We might have been a little heavy handed in our Tajin application.
We had a very good feeling about fajitas and French onion soup. And we were totally right! Steak fajitas pair perfectly with the soup.
Finally, the food pairing the struck fear in the hears of the Scramblers: Scallops and hard-boiled eggs. SHOCKINGLY not bad!
All in all, the weird food combos were not too bad! Color us surprised.
Turns out Clare and Eric did not need the barf bags that Uber Drive Kevin gifted them.

Did you know there are beer caves under Iowa City? Eric went “spelunking” Sunday on a special beer tasting and cave tour.
Clare and Eric played “The Californians” two Bruins fans talking about the Hawkeyes coming to California for the U.C.L.A. game.
The Z102.9 Marching Band was all in on the drama the this halftime show packed.
Including the shocking revelation: Announcer’s Name has a name?!
The Hawks are up against a time zone change and playing away from home in a stadium that has not been so lucky for them in the past. Hopefully the Z102.9 halftime show sent them to Cali with some luck!

Clare had a Halloween Hangover weekend! She saw the Tronvold family animatronic display on Friday night—super impressive!!

How many pieces of candy did you steal from your kid’s trick or treat pail?
The only cure for a Halloween hangover is a halftime performance from the Z102.9 Marching Band!
By the time we were dancing the Victory Polka, everyone was pepped up and pumped up for their day.
Tater or treat? Clare was ready with a bowl of potatoes and a bowl of candy and let the trick-or-treaters choose their treat.
Clare found that the younger the trick-or-treater, the more likely they were to choose candy.
But age 10 and up LOVED to pick a potato!
Clare was quickly down to just one potato just a half an hour into handing out Halloween candy.
This House Slytherin Wizard proudly snatch the last potato like it was a golden snitch in a quidditch match!

Right at 5 pm, the first trick-or-treaters knew exactly what they were after: CHICKEN!
Eric wasn’t sure what this kid was dressed up as, but he agreed not to egg his house if Eric gave him a chicken.
She’s so sweet, she really wanted candy, but mom told her to get the chicken. So she got both!

Trick-or-treaters at Eric’s house will get the opportunity to choose between rotisserie chicken or candy. Clare treated him to the classic candy, Chick-O-Stick!
