Corned Beef and Cabbage is an Irish-American classic. Irish immigrants were not treated well in the United States, so this was an inexpensive meal.
Eric was surprised to learn that Corned Beef really has nothing to do with corn. It’s the size of the salt used to cure the beef. Which when cooked low and slow, is very tender…and delicious!
This is a “new for St. Patrick’s Day” product Clare found at in an endcap at the grocery store.
Destiny was terrified to try cooked cabbage. It has a very powerful odor, but the taste was quite mild. Sort of like a cooked onion.
They look like a chicken nugget, but they have a very strong smell.
Reuben Bites were a no for Eric and Destiny, but Clare liked them. Not bad, if you like the sandwich!
